Indications

• Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
• Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
• Social Anxiety Disorder
• Panic Disorder with or without agoraphobia
• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (off-label in some regions)

Mechanism of Action

• Escitalopram enhances serotonergic activity in the central nervous system by selectively inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin (5-HT) into presynaptic neurons. This increases serotonin availability at synaptic clefts, alleviating depression and anxiety symptoms.
