Description
Indications:
- Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot)
- Tinea corporis (ringworm)
- Tinea cruris (jock itch)
- Cutaneous candidiasis
- Pityriasis versicolor (fungal skin discoloration)
- Fungal infections of interdigital spaces and nails (as adjunctive therapy)
Mechanism of Action:
Bifonazole inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol, a key component of the fungal cell membrane. This disrupts membrane integrity and leads to cell death. Its fungistatic and fungicidal activity extends across a wide range of pathogenic fungi, including Candida, Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, Microsporum, and Malassezia species.

Dosage & Administration:

Precautions & Warnings:

- Not to be used on broken or inflamed skin unless directed by a physician
- Use during pregnancy and lactation only if clearly necessary
- Discontinue use if irritation or hypersensitivity occurs
Side Effects:
Generally well-tolerated. Rarely reported side effects include:
- Mild skin irritation
- Redness or itching
- Burning or stinging sensation at the application site
These are typically self-limiting and resolve upon discontinuation.

Store below 25°C. Protect from light and excessive heat. Keep the cap tightly closed after each use and store out of reach of children.
