Dosage & Administration:
- For Herpes Simplex (HSV) Treatment:
- Adults & children >2 years: 5 ml (400 mg) every 8 hours for 5-10 days
- Children <2 years: 2.5 ml (200 mg) every 8 hours for 5-10 days
For Chickenpox:
- Children 2-6 years: 5 ml (400 mg) 4 times daily for 5 days
- Children 6-12 years: 10 ml (800 mg) 4 times daily for 5 days
- Adults & adolescents: 20 ml (1600 mg) 4 times daily for 5 days
For Shingles:
- Adults: 20 ml (1600 mg) 5 times daily for 7 days
Administration:
- Shake well before use
- Can be taken with or without food
- Ensure adequate hydration during treatment
Precautions & Warnings:
⚠ Not a cure for herpes but helps control symptoms
⚠ Use with caution in kidney impairment—dose adjustment may be needed
⚠ Avoid in severe dehydration to prevent kidney toxicity
