It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes, leading to cell disruption and fungal death.

Description

Indications:

✔ Athlete’s foot (Tinea pedis)
✔ Ringworm (Tinea corporis)
✔ Jock itch (Tinea cruris)
✔ Cutaneous candidiasis
✔ Fungal infections of the skin folds

Mechanism of Action:

Clotrimazole inhibits the enzyme lanosterol 14α-demethylase, preventing the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. This results in increased cell permeability, leading to fungal cell death.
